Parent Goals:
I think this would be a wonderful first week of school activity. Have both the parent and student come up with a goal and put them on a puzzle piece. Then you can put them all together and display them in the room!
Parent Goal Garden: Have parents write a goal for their child and hang it above a work area in the room. It serves as a reminder of who's behind the class as they all work together to grow!
Have parents write a goal for their child and put it on the board during the open house. Then refer to them as a class when writing the classroom rules or coming up with classroom goals!
Have parents list goals they have for their child and send it to you before conferences. That way you can prepare some strategies ahead of time!
Place a balloon at each child's spot during open house. Parents and students write a goal for the year on the balloon. You can make connections between student's names and personal goals when seeing them together like this.
