This is perfect for a kindergarten class- straightforward expectaitons with pictures/ models to help students who can't read remember the rules! (The second example uses great pictures, but the font would need to be changed if I was going to use it in a kindergarten room)
This is a wonderful book to use as a read-aloud before beginning to develop classroom rules. Many of David's behaviors can be recognized as wrong by all students, even those who are coming to school for the first time.
I love the idea of having the class rules in "I Can" statements. These are easy to read, which is important in Kindergarten! They also have great visuals.
Because of the complexity of this poster and the fun fonts, I think it would be better in an upper elementary class, but I LOVE how all the rules are written as "We do" statements. I also appreciate that basic expectations and social expectations are both included.
