Student Data Folder:
Unfortunately, I wasn't in my student teaching classroom long enough to see student data folders being used as my supervising teacher was still working on getting everything set up. What I did see, though, was how she collected and stored data from the Kindergarten Readiness assessments.
Letter Identification/ Letter Sounds:
Students were tested on letter recognition (both upper case and lower case). Those students who missed more than a certain number were pulled at the start of every day to practice with a para.
Number and Shape Recognition:

Students were also tested on number and basic 2D shape recognition. Again, anyone who struggled is pulled once a day to do a quick activity to reinforce these skills.
Patterns:
Kindergarteners are also tested on their ability to make and extend patterns. There is a simple rubric that a teacher or para uses to determine if a student is developing that skill or proficient.
